On tonights episode of ADVENTURES IN THE ICU we find my dad is still on the Bipap machine... Having trouble keeping his co2 levels down. He hasnt had anything to drink or eat all day because of the abdomen xray and because he cant eat or drink and get back on that machine... They said it can force food and liquid into his lungs if he eats/drinks and then has to go back on the machine.Tried to explain that to him. Told him I was pretty sure that they werent gonna let him starve to death and that he could have something when the respiratory therapist said he could.He asked me through the mask if that would be while he was still living.. I was like while youre what? He said while I am L-I -V-I-N-G all the while using his finger to spell in the air. I fell over the side of the bed I was laughing so hard. I told him if it wasnt while he was living then he would wake up in Heaven and that they would give him food and something to drink there...but it wouldnt be Jim Beam. He said maybe a really good glass of wine? I said maybe. Im personally hoping for sweet tea at the Wedding Feast. He is absolutely maddening at times but he is truly one of the most hilarious people ever!
