On top of the over 1000 people killed in Gaza over the last 20 days, 7 children were killed today while playing at a park today during Eid al-Fitr. For those of you who dont know what Eid is, it is holiday marking the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting, and one of the greatest religious observances in Islam. This is supposed to be a joyous holiday. But not for many in Gaza. Imagine if here in America, we were bombed during our Christmas, one of the biggest holidays in our country. It would be devastating. I cant even imagine what that would be like, if 9/11 was our everyday norm. I post this to show we are all alike, we are all humans who deserve rights and to not live in constant fear. Its not about choosing sides, its about human rights and peace. I dont support Gaza just because I am Palestinian, I #SupportGaza because I believe no human life is less important than another.
