On whats been a day that s clearly a Monday through-and-through, I remember these words from the late, great Gary Hebert, the Plaquemine Post/South co-founder/co-publisher/editor, who inspired me to go into the often crazy world of print journalism (even though I worked for a paper opposite his own for a short time): Before Easter Sunday comes Good Friday, he often reminded me. Of course, he meant tough times preface the good -- great words of wisdom from a seminarian-turned-newspaper publisher. I never worked for him, but he often served as a sounding board during the days I wondered if I really had a place in this industry. I learned a wealth of skills and wisdom from him. Twenty years later, his words of wisdom remain alive and well.
