On yet another Lords Day Eve I find myself immersed in thoughts and prayers for my true Brothers in the ministry. During this time of further preparation of tomorrows sermon we all reach a point where we realize, as we do every week, the weight and significance of preaching the whole counsel of Gods Word. Our enemy would have us cower in fear of man and shy away from boldly preaching what Gods people need to hear. My prayer for all those who are at this moment standing in pulpits on the other side of the world and all who follow them in the passing hours is this testimony of Paul in Acts 20:20-21, ...I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you publicly and from house to house, solemnly testifying to both Jews and Greeks of repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. May what we preach come from hearts filled with the Spirit and boldness, and may the Word of God make its way from the ears of the hearers to their hearts and bear fruit in their lives.
