Once - many light years ago in a galaxy far away - there was a bar (called The Royal) which had THE GREATEST JUKEBOX EVER. This particular jukebox played something called 45s…small cylinders made out of vinyl that had two different songs (known as the A side and the B side); the 45s were played on something called a record player. The Royal Jukebox contained a large record player and stored about a hundred 45s, which could be played by accessing the jukebox menu and punching in a particular code (after, of course, appropriate payment was made in the form of 10 cents for one tune, three for a quarter - or many more for a dollar bill or even five dollars.…) I still listen to the great songs that made up the Royal Jukebox. After all these years! I also remember the fun times singing/dancing. (Also the time we hijacked the jukebox - or when a young woman tried to kill me with a bottle of beer - but those are stories for another time! LOL ) Anyway - over the next few years I will celebrating the memories of that great bar and music by presenting many of the songs that played there back in the day….
