Once I heard an interview in which scholar Dr. Brene Brown posited - TopicsExpress

Once I heard an interview in which scholar Dr. Brene Brown posited that comparison kills creativity, and I think that sums up a lot of what I’ve been feeling lately. I’m going to take a prolonged hiatus from Facebook. Facebook has started to feel less like a social networking site and more like a public platform for everyone to advertise a personality that they want everyone else to buy. I miss the silence of boredom. Too large a proportion of what little idle time I have these days is spent scrolling instead of growing; I want to spend that time thinking, drawing, playing, meditating, writing, exploring (,eating, sleeping) instead clicking through an estranged friend’s vacation photos. I’m tired of feeling like I need likes to validate my life experiences (“If I cant show it/ if you cant see me/ whats the point of doing anything?”). Anyway, this is all to say that if you have an interest in keeping up or keeping in contact with me, you can follow/reach me at the following: Insta/Snapchat: danebell1 Email: danebell1@gmail Phone/iMessage: +64 (027) 514-8393 See yaz on the flip side x
