Once Shri Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury was asked by a reporter about the - TopicsExpress

Once Shri Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury was asked by a reporter about the standard of debate in the parliament, which was stated to be deteriorating with passage of time. To which Mr Chowdhury quipped: The Berhampur seat was earlier represented by Mr Tridib Chowdhury. Now Adhir Chowdhury represents it. So you can well imagine the deterioration of standard of the parliamentarian. I was quite impressed by his wit, sense of humor and presence of mind and never quite expected him to stoop very low. But,now, I am really surprised that Mr Chowdhury and another MP from west Bengal produced storm in the tea cup by raising a question in the floor of the house, pertaining to Iftar party. They said that PM Narendra Modi had not hosted the Iftar Party, neither did he wished the Muslims on the eve of the Id-Ul-Fitr and therefore he is...etc, etc. Did these two veteran MP ever tried to understand Muslim mind and their priorities. If Modiji didnt wish on Id then it can constitute an act of unsavory behavior and rudeness, though I noticed that a popular Bengali Newspaper carried his good wishes to the muslims on that day. Iftar is the breakfast during the month of Ramadan and only fasting people should participate in the feast. A person who takes regular meals during the Ramadan should not participate in this ritual. It is therefore, praiseworthy that Mr Modi didnt show any bit of hypocrisy and avoided the ceremony. Iftar party is nothing but a ploy to dupe Muslims by showing these pictures in election time. A particular Bengali politician is seen in such type of pictures, in typical attire, in particular localities of the state. It is therefore, quite hilarious that these two veteran MPs raised these issues in the parliament. If anybody offers Puja in any mandir, does it offend the Muslims? If that is an offence attending Id prayer by politicians are an equal offence. Has any Muslim ever questioned, why Mr Modi burned 2000 Kg of Ghee in a mandir! It appears Chowdhurys and Banerjees are more muslims than the Muslims themselves. Mr Chowdhury represents Murshidabad which is the last of the 50 under-performing districts of the country. Is there any dearth of issues? I give him some points to be raised in the parliament. Around 70 % of the women of the state are anemia and illiterate. More than 70% household has no potable water or toilet facilities. Adolescent marriage and unemployment are ravaging the districts. He did not raise these issues on the floor of the parliament but, rather stoop very low in raising non-issues. In the last 67 years, all these politicians who think themselves to be very secular have in fact unwittingly, arrested development of Muslim community to modern Indian. A well pampered child does not take major meals, depend more on junk food and perpetually suffers.Pampered minorities similarly forgot Indianness, harped more on non-issues and became more of a Muslim than our prophet dreamt of. Thats why, they stick to their medieval prejudices and dont grow. They have learnt the art to remain aloof and segregated from the mainstream of humanity and confined themselves to the self-sinking ghettos. If they were not pampered and made delinquent by these myopic politicians, they would have been transformed into modern citizens. I have said many times before but once again would like to reiterate that Arabic or Urdu languages do not make anyone a better Muslim. The Koran was spelt in Arabic because the prophet was an Arab and Arabic language has no superiority. In fact, compared to say, Sanskrit, Arabic is an inferior language. But, Indian politicians think that they should prescribe a special language for Muslims and hundreds of crores are being unnecessarily spent for Madrasa education. I have said in the past also that Kharezi Madrasa is the industry of producing beggars. But our Muslim-lover politicians do not want Muslims to be educated, modern and employable. Thats why they spend money on institutions which has only archival values. Had they really loved this country they would have provided universal and uniform education to all sections of the society equally well. The Arab world has introduced a culture where non-muslims are purged from these countries, even a non-Arab Muslim country like Turkey is purging the country of Christians and converting churches into either Masjids or Stables. Compare this with any modern country including India. India in particular has given more rights to Muslims than any other country in the world. Such rights have not benefited the Muslims here. They have forgotten the limit of the privileges which were bestowed on them out of courtesy. Is it necessary to chant Azan by loud speaker. isnt not a bidat, my Wahabi Friends! What right you have to disturb others by performance of your own rituals? This time round, I noticed that even Namaz is chanted through the agency of loud speaker. I dont know since when they found God to be totally deaf, that they need to blow prayers through His ears. I can cite a few more instances of abuse of rights they are enjoying, thanks to the Indian Democracy. Every time, modern Muslims try to raise their voice these politicians, who normally does not see each other eye to eye, get together and stump any attempt of development of this particular community. I think, yesterdays attempt to waste valuable time in the House is to cipher the Taslima Issue. It was a nice gesture on the part of the government to give resident visa to Nasrin. Nasrin is a third rate writer but her voice against the Mullahcracy is praiseworthy. Her support by the NDA government will embolden the right thinking educated Muslim. Foreseeing rise of saner Muslim voice all the creatures of darkness have started raising their voices in the social media. Mr Chowdhurys attempt is nothing short of this. I dont know when our law makers will say a spade a spade and concentrate on real issues of national importance. We want to live life like conscientious Indian. We are not Hindus or Muslims. We are Indians and that should be our main identity. Is any politician listening??
