Once again, 5 to 5. The mayor is determined to get who he wants in there, so mentioned he wanted to disregard Budd and Barnes and go down to the next two on the list. Gee, that would pull in his person that he wanted in the first place. Hmmmm? I do not understand a Mayor making a stand against his own commission. Change the charter, Mayor, and let the decision be made. All 4 times you have voted, you have tied the vote. If you go by the real rules of majority, the 5 to 4 vote would have passed and the ordeal would be over. We would have a new commissioner. I am sure a 6to 4 rule applies to a full commission. I do not know for sure, but it is always the deciding factor-even in federal government congress and senate. but not for a commissioner??? You are cutting off your nose to spite your face, so to speak. If you insist on having everything your way, you will lose the respect of the full commission. And the very people that elected you. They are watching, sir.
