Once again, Coffee County Animal Control, our neighboring county, is in the news. Last time it was winter and a little Chihuahua (Star) was allowed to freeze to death on the concrete floors. Thanks to a huge public protest and wonderful donations, beds were provided and the housed animals were off the cold floors. Fast-forward seven months. The donated beds are no longer being used AND are being stored in a run/kennel that could be used for a few more homeless animals. Their reasoning is because the dogs would rather be on cool concrete floors and the beds take up too much room, yet this video proves that is not the case. Another emaciated, pregnant dog was saved only thanks to concerned citizens. Are you mad? If so, please voice your outrage. The mayors # is (931) 723-5100. Small changes have been made in the past. We all need to join together and do it again. Lets put the heat where it belongs and get it off of these poor, defenseless animals. Your shares made it happen last time. Please lets do it again. One day it will be a permanent change.
