Once again I post an article in another blog 3 years ago. Even after the huge earthquake, Many Japanese in Tohoku region had to send very tough lives. Almost no food and fuel in Sendai City. One day after earthquake, I searched food for dinner for 3hours in the center of Sendai. And I could get only 2 Obento (packed lunches, Fertigessen) with meat and rice, drinks and sweets. My mother could get the same quantity of food too. We can somehow survive till Sunday with these foods. But we are not sure of the days after Sunday. And we’re also running out of fuel too. We have now electricity and Telephone, thank God, but the gas has still stopped. So we can take bath only once in 3 days. This disaster is, because all transportations are still stopped between Tokyo and Sendai. From Tokyo till 100 KM northern area, transportations work normal. But Sendai is located 350 KM North of Tokyo. All transportations, highway, railway, ship and airplane don’t work even today, although 8 days have passed since the day of Sendai Earthquake and Tsunami. Even tomorrow, we must search foods and fuel in the center of Sendai City. One of the customers, an 80-year-old man who lined up in front of the store at 9 a.m., expressed relief at being able to buy rice. I only had two days worth of rice left at my home, so Im glad I managed to buy it. Here is the movie of one supermarket after earthquake. Almost foods and goods are sold out, and there was no plan when goods would arrive again. But this store was much, much better than stores in Sendai.
