Once again I turn to all you veteran reloaders to tap into your infinite wisdom.... Im reloading 5.56mm rounds for the first time using 77 gr Nosler HPBT. The Nosler manual used 2.260as their OAL, and will be loading 22gr of Varget to start. I made up a couple dummy rounds to 2.258 OAL (factory ammo I shoot is 2.252OAL)to check fit, feed and extraction on my rifle. The rounds chamber and extracted okay but I noticed these markings on the bullet nose, Im assuming its from the feed ramps, is this a issue of concern? Never noticed it on factory ammo but then again, factory ammo was usually a one way ticket out the barrel!
