Once again I typed a post and as it was loading it disappeared. I am not going to try and type all that again, so here it is - short and sweet. I went to the doc today for check-up and go back tomorrow for injections, so I may not get a post out in the morning and since the procedure will be done under sedation, it could be late before I am awake enough to post. I went to the pound today to take pictures for our sister page (Friends of Bibb County Alabama Pound), and found 2 litters of puppies. Since the temps are going below freezing and theres no heat at the pound, I brought the babies home with me. Our friend Kristen will be getting them from me at the end of the weekend and fostering until we get them into a rescue. One litter is of two girls that look like border collies. The other is a litter of 5, which the guys at the pound say are jack Russell/fiest. The weight between 2.0 lbs - 5.0 lbs. The smaller babies have a terrible skin problem. I do not know if it is from fleas or something else. They have all had nice warm soothing baths and are fed and sleeping. I am adding a picture of the tummy of one of them, so you can see what I am talking about. The skin is leathery feeling and flaking off after the bath, and the skin underneath feels and looks soft. Hope is feeling a bit better today, but still droopy. All the other babies are doing well. With the two foster doggies we already had, and adding 7 more puppies, the Morse house is getting a bit full! But thanks to Kristin, this will not be for too long. I may help with some of the others from the pound when the puppies are gone. We hope you enjoy your evening and remember to Pay it Forward.
