Once again I wish to congratulate Ambassador Lucy Chelimo from Kabarnet, Baringo Central for successfully going through a tough vetting and approval process by parliament after her nomination as Kenyas Ambassador to Ottawa Canada by His Excellency the President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta. As I promised, we united as the leaders of Baringo and women leaders of Kenya to ensure that Ambassador Chelimo is approved on account of her competence and merit and I thank my fellow leaders for giving her a resounding vote of confidence alongside the other successful nominees. As she takes up her new position, I wish her well in her career. I know her as a hardworker who shall deliver not only on our diplomatic and foreign policy agenda but also in terms of uplifting the livelihoods of the people of Baringo through opportunities in scholarships, foreign placements and international business linkages. I wish to also thank the Jubilee Administration for the confidence in my people and specifically our women. This is a victory to all of us and it will go a long way in the advancement of my people.
