Once again Ibanez Guitars takes the cake as the worst guitar to - TopicsExpress

Once again Ibanez Guitars takes the cake as the worst guitar to own if you ever need a replacement part. So much proprietary garbage, and never any parts available through them. Currently have an RG in for set-up and repair. It has an Ibanez (dumb) designed Floyd-Rose style tremolo. This customer is missing a string retainer block. A normal Floyd-Rose string block is .50 and we have plenty sitting around. Ibanezs (dumb) T style designed string block is not readily available on their parts site, and a whole replacement saddle is $35. Hopefully my emails I sent to Ibanez will be returned, although not much luck in the past with them. Once took 45 days to get a battery clip for a bass repair. Funny thing is, a vast majority of Ibanez guitars are built by Cort, the same company that makes Schecter, Dean, ESP/LTD, Charvel and on and on. All of the companies excluding Ibanez, use brand name parts that are always readily available. Just dumb. So todays lesson is, if you buy an Ibanez, dont EVER lose a part or break anything. You might be out of a guitar for weeks or more. smdh.
