Once again, Modi proved that he doesnt believe in Secularism or Pluralism and he is NOT a representative of all Indians but only of Conservative Upper-Caste Hindus and that he views India as a Hindu nation. We could see that there were a tiny number of Sikhs & Muslims (most looked Dawoodi Bohras) in the crowd at Madison Square Garden yesterday. There could also have been a few Indian Christians & Zoroastrian Parsis as well. (Minority followers of Modi and Right-Wingers in general are either too naive & ignorant or too depraved or simply too greedy as many are often bribed) And yet, when talking about cleaning the river Ganga, Modi had the audacity to say the following - I ask each & everyone in the crowd, is it not your wish to take your parents and other elderly members for a Ganga Snan (bathing in the holy river)? Dont you also feel like doing it once in your lifetime? Yes, its the wish of everyone present here as well as all the 1.25 billion Indians back home. And this is why we must get the Ganga river cleaned. First of all, I dont know how will they be able to maintain a clean Ganga with all the more people washing away their sweat (some dont bathe for days) by bathing in it on a regular basis? But most importantly Mr. NarendraLal Modi, bathing in the Ganga is Not what all the 1.25 billion people of India want to do and this is because Ganga is the Holy/Sacred River of only Hindus and its mostly Upper-Caste Hindus who are permitted to bathe in it and Not Dalits, MBCs, Tribals and many from OBC background as well. The Ganga lovers dont even make 50% of the countrys population. So, please stop painting the entire country with Saffron.
