Once again a long day is through. But the joy of the Lord comes by His sweet Spirit to fill my heart with praise for the God Who saves and brings peace even to those the world would call old and past the point of rescue. To see tears of joy as well as tears of conviction on the faces of those who matter to our heavenly Father is to know the living God and fills my soul with desire to know Him more. I met a man tonight who had just come to Jesus as he had reached nadir of his existence. All the world was brand new to him. I could see the ravages of years of sin in the creases in his face but the glory of God outshone them all. He wanted to show me how he had marked the scriptures and how profound they now were to him now that he could see. He could be your or my neighbor...the opportunities missed. He came to hear the Word of God. And God did not disappoint. The statement "Too heavenly minded to be any earthly good ." is a lie from Satan. The truth is... The world needs a savior and the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation to all who would believe.(Romans 1:16) We do not deserve these blessings, but how beautiful is Your law oh Lord it is the only thing that really satisfies...Why do you spend money for what is not bread,And your wages for what does not satisfy?Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,And let your soul delight itself in abundance. (Isaiah 55:2) Oh Lord God I thank You for Your Word and the Joy that it brings through our Lord Jesus Christ, and I thank You and praise Your name for those who came in Your name tonight to...To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;(Luke 4:18). Tonight at the Cooks Kettle, Jake Young, Harold Fox, and Darlene Honeycutt joined in the worship of the creator God to the praise of His glory. Amen. What did we ever do before we met Jesus?
