Once again, temperatures soared into the 90s for almost everyone - TopicsExpress

Once again, temperatures soared into the 90s for almost everyone in the Wiregrass. To beat the heat, you had to look near the coast, where temps were still in the mid 80s with a lot of humidity. The humidity was back today, as we stayed sticky, but dewpoints have yet to hit the levels we will see later this summer. In astronomical news, a new meteor shower will be visible in the northern sky tonight, mainly between 1-3 AM CDT. Since this is a new meteor shower, we arent sure just how active it could be, but just be ready to look up, and try to stay away from city lights and anything that could obscure your sight lines. For tonight, we could see some patchy fog develop, but it will most likely be after the meteor showers peak. Lows will fall to the upper 60s. We get Memorial Day weekend started off with warm and humid conditions. Highs will once again rise to the mid 90s with plenty of sunshine and a few clouds around. Saturday night into Sunday morning will be mild, with lows falling to the upper 60s once again. More 90s Sunday afternoon, but some showers could make their way into the area. We arent expecting widespread rain, but a few t-storms that we see could be strong, so be aware. As we go into Memorial Day, expect more heat, humidity, and a few pop up showers by the afternoon. Once again, not a washout for everyone, just a typical summer day for the unofficial start of summer. Tuesday and Wednesday will feature more warmth, and mostly dry weather, with rain chances coming into the picture by late next week. Enjoy the holiday weekend and stay safe everyone!
