Once again the Community Gardens of Darwin will be hosting a Community Cafe, Nightcliff Frillys Style, in the midst of garden displays, school garden workshops, permaculture workshops, tropical food cooking and more... Volunteering a couple of hours of waiting tables or washing dishes, cooking a cake is a great way of participating in community and raising funds for your own communities activities. Invite your friends to join you! The Cafe will operate from 9am until 5pm Saturday May 31 & Sunday June 1. Were seeking volunteers for two hour shifts over the weekend and also for cakes to be served with a cuppa for our guests and visitors. If youd like to be involved but will be away or too busy that weekend wed love for you to cook a cake which we can freeze for the weekend. Register your interest in taking a shift or baking a cake or better still both! Well need to know your preferred time, if youre up for operating a coffee machine, if youre bringing a cake and which Community Garden youd like to benefit with a share of the funds raised.
