We have to remember While Esther was in the purification process she was given Persian clothing and decoration. The servants in charge of the kings Harem were responsible to make each girl as beautiful as possible. I think we sometimes think she just walked in and remained a regular Jewish girl in a white robe. When in actuality she probably dawned Persian fashions, and was compliant to the requests of the Prince in command. A part of me still believes Esther didnt try too hard. I dont believe she thought these clothes and jewelry necessary, but I dont believe she refused them either. It was part of this process to be lavished with the most beautiful things in the kingdom. The king spared no expense for these women. I cant believe Esther sat in the corner with a sack for a dress demanding No one change her appearance. Let me know what your thoughts are.
