Once in a very great while, you stumble upon such a remarkably astute and penetrating philosophical observation which summarizes the intertwined aspects of our personal and political lives so incisively and so perfectly that you cant help wonder why you had never thought of it before. It happened to me earlier today, and I remain in awestruck admiration and envy each time those comments cross my mind and cause me to become entranced yet again by their profound gravitas and the sheer genius of the intellect who not only personally divined these thoughts and explanations, but was so uniquely generous in her willingness to share such unassailable wisdom and enlightenment with the rest of us. So here are her comments word for word. You can thank me later for the myriad of ways in which these few esteemed words and the thoughts they express will profoundly change the rest of your lives: “Honestly, I think we should just trust our president in every decision that he makes, and we should just support that, you know, and be faithful in what happens.” Now be honest: Didnt those words leave you perilously near total speechlessness, if not full on catatonia? The poetess/philosopher was Ms. Britney Spears. The year was 2003. In the same interview, she told CNNs Tucker Carlson that she would never kiss a woman again. Unless that woman was Madonna. Now, in Ms. Spears defense, its not easy to speak at a level which Tucker Carlson would be expected to understand.
