Once in a while, a dog comes along that turns your world upside down and you just fall in love. For the Alaqua team, that girl is Mae. She is the most wonderful girl. She loves all people and is especially fond of children! Alaqua Animal Refuge is a beautiful place. Dogs are loved and cared for dearly by staff and volunteers. We treat every animal as if they are our very own, but we never like to see a dog stay to long. Mae has been at Alaqua over a year and we dont know why. She is fantastic. Her one flaw is that she doesnt always like all dogs. She is selective. This could be because she has been here so long and its Maes domain. We know she would make a perfect family dog and we hope she finds a home to call her own very soon.
