Once something is said, it cant be un-said. Once something is done, it cant Be un-done. Once something is read, it cant be un-read. I remember my dad preaching when I was a little girl. A lot of people didnt like the way he preached, he used a lot of testimonies from past experiences to make Points. He used a lot of analogies. One that stuck with me was, you can take a feather pillow onto a rooftop and cut it open....shake it out, and no matter how hard you try, youll never recover every feather. The same goes for the words you speak. Once they are out, they cant be recovered! Words can be damaging! They can ruin a persons character. Have you ever heard someone say: If thats what a Christian is, I dont want any part of it? I have! How sad that our words can turn someone or push them farther away From a relationship with God. Have you ever heard someone say: You arent my judge? Only God can judge me? Ive heard it all of my life, but sadly many people judge preachers and their families. As a preachers kid, my heart goes out to preachers and their families. We are ALL human. We live in a corrupted world. We all have to answer to God one day. He will either say Enter in, thy Good and Faithful Servant....or Depart from Me, YE Worker of Iniquity, I never knew you. HEAR NO EVIL DO NO EVIL SPEAK NO EVIL Luke 13:27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
