Once there was a thing called the great reformation. Thats exactly what it was, a reformation of the Catholic church into the Protestant (protesting the Catholics) church. It was reformed into many more little institutions of various doctrines, but never restored to its original design and form as set forth by the New Testament example. That original form, however, has always existed since the day of Jesus Christ, even though it has continuously been hammered on by the enemy. Today, many among the institutions are finally beginning to realize this, becoming able to see through the stained glass blinders of religious tradition and coming out to restore the Lords church to its original form rather than reforming it into another type of institution. Contrary to many beliefs, today, the gospel is being advanced by far greater this way than all of the institutions on earth combined. In China for example, an estimated 22,000 people come to know Jesus Christ every 24 hours where there is no denominational or institutional church in place. Imagine that! And China is not the only place. The church is spreading like a wild fire out of control in places like India, Iran, all across Africa and many other countries as well. If you go to someone elses household or an institution, then that becomes the head and dictator of how youre allowed to obey the Lord. Some may call this a covering. That may seem right for many who seem to fall right into place there and are content living off of milk wile remaining babes all their lives. There are others who may enjoy ruling over their own little kingdoms and holding their members in check and who also remain very content. Then there are a great many who are in that system who simply know no other way due to the norm of traditions in the culture around them. Many, however, whore hungry and thirsty for growth, strength, maturity and righteousness, those who feel a great need to be making disciples with the Lord Jesus as their covering realize that the majority of church practices around them in no way resemble the church of the first century. They may often run into conflict trying to function under the Lords leading while attempting to do it under someone elses roof. Jesus is free and cannot be bound. He nor any of His apostles ever set any type of institutional church in place, yet the church exploded into growth around the known world during the first century. The disciples just spread the gospel and made disciples and the Lord added to their number daily those being saved and the Lord began building His own church. The church happens by itself when disciple just become obedient disciples. Become a disciple and turn your house or even a shade tree into a church. Allow the Lord to have His way through you and what He has called you for. Allow Jesus to speak to His body and direct it on His own.
