Once upon a time... Do you like fairy tales? Do you believe in happily ever after? In real life what might seem like a fairy tale can turn into someones nightmare very quickly... The night in shining armor - the meek and mild princess... They might seem like the good guys - but sometimes the they are really the evil witch in disguise... When a loved one wants to help you make things simpler by having you deed your property over to them... Or to help you avoid probate by adding them on as a joint tenant... DO NOT DO IT!!!!! Adding another person to your real estate has sooooo many unintended consequences...You really need to understand the pros & cons before signing that paper. HOWEVER - the NUMBER 1 reason to refrain from this simple act... You cant undo it. Not without the other persons signature... Not without the other persons cooperation... Not at all.
