Once upon a time I took a kid fresh outta his high school - TopicsExpress

Once upon a time I took a kid fresh outta his high school classroom to paid shows in 4 months....it took the team 6 months to secure the man CONSISTENT radio & club play from Morgan City to Shreveport and Baton Rouge to Beaumont. 6-10 shows per month..... I was the leader because I had the plan - but it was a team effort......any rapper can do the exact same thing IF they back away from the mic long enough to SIT DOWN & PLAN. My plan worked for us.....wanna know the basic steps of the plan??? 1) Start with great music that YOUR MARKET wants to listen to 2) Get the music to YOUR MARKET - everyday 3) Go to the places YOUR MARKET goes (clubs, barber shops, etc.) 4) Network with the tastemakers & DJs who influence YOUR MARKET 5) Expand YOUR MARKET city to city - online, streets & clubs Its just that simple to launch a local movement.....you wanna be in the music business?? Then dont complain about YOUR MARKET. JOIN the market and outwork everybody until youre the man in your market..... then LEAD the people in the direction you want em to go..... or move to a market where your music is WANTED... dont try to force-feed the people something they dont want - then gripe about not succeeding..... if you really believe youre good enough you should be able to make a name anywhere!! SN: Be creative too.....I remember getting in good with the club owners AND fans by guaranteeing the club owner a bigger crowd if he let ppl wearing my label tshirts in the club free......then I sold the shirts for $20 to fans who loved to go clubbing. Theyd be in the club week after week after week rockin those #TWE tshirts........a promotional army. Some of yall watched me go from who is that? to Hey!! Thats Uncle T! -- hard work, focus, creativity, determination and PLANNING man - its been working for me.....I suggest you try it.....
