Once upon a time a male lion was tending t his cubs, as his lioness was killed while hunting...across the plain was a sheep who heard the king of the jungle distressed roar and went t find out the reason of his sorrow...upon reachkng the king of the jungle he explained how whis wife was killed and his cubs needed feeding...the sheep offered t feed the cubs her milk until they were grown...so as time went on and tne cubs grew so did the friendship of the lion and sheep, soon came the time for the cubs t leave and fend for themselves...the lion then asked what the sheep wanted t b rewarded with, she asked for a bkt of land so that she could live out her days in peace, so the king of the jungle gave her the best patch of land he had...when the sheep went exploring her newly found land she stumbled and broke her ankle then lion saw this went running and said my dear sister sit on ma back I will take u t see your lands, sk the sheep sat on thismlions back and explorede the land...watching was a parrot who was curious as t y yhe lion had a sheep on his back so he asked them both and they expalined the situatio and how their friendship turned into brother and sisgerhood and how she was rewared for her efforts and kindness...the parrot thought i will do the same, instead of finding a lio t help he found a rat that was drowning so this parrot plucked this rat out of this lil puddle toom him t his nest and put his wings around him t offer warmth...and the parrot goes t sleep in this way, while the parrot is asleep the rat wakes up to find himslef covered up in this way panics gnaws throughnthe parrots wjngs and departs from his rescuers nest...when the parrot wakes up the next morning he finds thats the rat has left and flaps his wings t take flight and plummets t his death....moral of the story when helping some1 out loom at whk u r helping if they r worthy of the help or are the they the rats who will leave you flightless in return of a favour rendered....Story told by an elder friend, rewrote in english by Mohammed Nawaz....
