Once upon a time, the movie passes came easy. They were a nice perk for working at a TV station. So I’d take my wife on a partially free date night. I just had to pay for parking and concessions. After a Washington, DC screening of REMEMBER THE TITANS, I strolled outside the theater doors and there was this guy standing there, greeting people. I had starred in a few TV commercials, so naturally I asked this guy about getting cast in one of his movies. The guy said something like “that’s all handled in LA and NY.” Good enough for me. That guy is the most successful film and television producer of all time. His films have earned worldwide revenues of over $15 billion. In his words: “I make movies to entertain people, and if Im not entertained, I have failed.” “I love exploring worlds that we haven’t seen for a long time.” I shook hands with a living legend. Professionally, I look to Jerry Bruckheimer. Spiritually, I look to Someone else. “Lord, we do not know where you’re going, and how can we know what road you’re going to take?” ‘I myself am the road, and the truth and the life. No one approaches the Father except through me.’ John 14:5-7 PHILLIPSOasis
