Once upon a time there was a village, popularly referred to as snake village (because of abundance of varieties of snake), a man appeared and announced to the villagers that he would buy snakes for N10 each. The villagers with their antidote power, seeing that there were many snakes around, went out to the forest and started catching them for sale. The man bought in thousands and hoarded at the N10 naira rate. However, as supply started to diminish, the villagers stopped their efforts and the buyer further announced that he would now buy at N20. Unexpectedly, with renewed tricks. Soon again, the supply diminished even further and people returned to their normal farming business. The buyer again increase the buying rate to N25 and the supply of the snakes became so little that it requires extra efforts to even see a snake from where the villagers get the antidote to cure snake bites from far and near that the village was known for, let alone catching them. At the peak of the scarcity, the man increased the buying rate of snake to N100 each and left his servant with the villagers and traveled to the city. While the man was away, the servant told the villagers that "look at all these snakes in the big cage that my boss has collected, I will sell them to you at N50 and when the man returns you can sell to him at the rate of N100 each". After the mouth watering deal with the servant, the villagers neither saw the man nor his servant again, except the killer snakes that were seen everywhere. Unfortunately, to pay the villagers for their greed, the snakes of various varieties that never had the opportunity convergence, while in the cage shared and learned the poisons to bite and kill, then turned against the villagers and bit the greedy snake hunters to death.............
