Once upon a time things were pretty cool. All things living lived - TopicsExpress

Once upon a time things were pretty cool. All things living lived in accordance to its nature and environment. Here are just a few of the countless varieties of species and sub-species in all their magnificent splendor- colors, patterns, shapes, twisting horns, feathers, scales, etc. The variety spanning the globe land, sea, and air is mesmerizing. Each creature knows how to survive. It knows how to find a mate. It knows how to care for its young. Never has an animal had to know time except for when to migrate, and for that, they just know. There was no utopia. Some animals were hunted by others. Some faced drought, famine, or disease. Every one no matter what adversities faced, lived, not just in the world, but within the world. First we see the animals in these pictures, but there are also blue skies, lush vegetation, dry savannah, and rivers. The animals are but part of the environment and, save for the threats above, they lived well in it. The sounds were only those of insects, birds, and beasts; rustling of leaves and grass; oceans pounding the beach, and there was quiet. A quiet that has long been lost. This is not just the quiet of sound, but the quiet of mind. It is a quiet the civilized world exchanged for what it has today, a constant bombardment of abrasive, violent, and artificial noise. The harmony of existence was exchanged for selfish material gain, for power, for fame. For thousands of years particular humans passed through time on a course of technological innovation and conquest, while others remained intact with the natural order of things, remaining to live in the environment, not outside it. When we all lived within the environment, we shared the world. This is not meant in the sense of idealistic romanticizing of the primitive world, but there was no ownership, there was barely stewardship. But as segments of the world took their paths, the refinement of ownership began. A particular sickness became embedded in the mindset of particular populations and a wealthy ruling class emerged. At some point from the dawn of the modern age the planet was usurped by this class who along with the industrialist have taken the planet hostage. When did business and the wealthy gain custody of the things on this planet shared by us all? These are our animals living on our planet. It is not theirs to control. They have gotten rich and powerful off our labor and resources for centuries and now we are fast approaching the last slice of bread in the bag as they greedily plunder our planet. The animals are ours.
