One 3hr bus ride from Santa Barbara to LAX. One 3hr wait for flight at LAX inclusive of some Aussie dude doing bizarre display of push ups in middle of waiting area. One 10hr flight from LAX to London Heathrow. Another 90minute bus journey from London Heathrow to London Gatwick which almost didnt happen because of one grumpy bus driver who nearly didnt let us on because one of our cases was too heavy. Dropped off at South Terminal to check in for our British Airways flight to Dublin only to find no British Airways in South Terminal. One mad dash from south terminal to north terminal only to find at check in desk that British Airway flight to Dublin doesnt actually exist, and our British Airway flight was in fact flying out from their co-partners IN THE SOUTH TERMINAL 20 minutes shy of the gate closing. Another even madder dash from north terminal to south terminal, check in, run for the gate only to find FLIGHT HAD BEEN DELAYED! One bumpy but brisk flight from London Gatwick to Dublin. One very cold culture shock when set foot outside Dublin Airport. One very cold and daft hour spent trying to find car in the Red long stay car park. One two hour drive home to pomeroy to find central heating not working. Total round trip: 24 + hrs Total awake time: 29 + hrs But, WE MADE IT! and IT WAS SOOOOOO WORTH IT! Thank you one again to our Santa Barbara family, we love you and we miss you. And to whoever took my blue bin in, Thank You!!!!! đ and breaaaaaathe.
