One Mississippi, Two Mississippi, Geaux Tigers I knew coming into the season that this was going to be a transitional season for LSU. That is not to say that I am at all happy with the skull draggings we have been dealt by our fellow SEC teams Mississippi State and Auburn. I fear there are more to come. That said, we are a very young team that has bled a great deal of our experienced talent to the NFL. Hopefully these lopsided games are going to give our young guys some invaluable experience for the future. I can’t help but be happy for our neighbors, Mississippi State and Ole Miss, for their accomplishments. It has been some time since those proud programs have enjoyed the level of success they are having this season. Unless there is a direct conflict with LSU, such as the Ole Miss game on Oct. 25, or some circumstance in which either Mississippi team’s winning adversely affects LSU’s nearly nonexistent chances in the SEC West, I will be rooting for these two programs. Of course in the postseason Im SEC all the way.* As LSU fans we are just going to have to hang tough this season. There are better days ahead, but perhaps not this year. *Except Alabama
