One Page Wonder 153 (Eat Safe, Live Well) Nothing limits - TopicsExpress

One Page Wonder 153 (Eat Safe, Live Well) Nothing limits achievement like small thinking; nothing expands possibilities like unleashed imagination---William Arthur Ward Sometimes in our lifetime there are people who come up with great ideas. As is the norm, some take off though most crash and burn. This is about a progression of an idea which is fast becoming a concept that may just have an impact worldwide, as the ripples grow more powerful. In One Page Wonder 124, I wrote about my friend Jess, who had a food allergy condition and decided to, not just accept it, but to do something about it. This story is a continuation of 124 as the momentum grows and the overall idea becomes more holistic. The progression has been steadily evolving and several events have highlighted how brilliant the idea is and how it can benefit our planet. In Malcolm Gladwells brilliant book called Blink he speaks of how when introduced to a new concept, the first word that you think of is the most accurate. When Jess first told me of Eat Safe, that one word was GLOBAL. Across the world tonight, and every night there are people everywhere from all different backgrounds who are dreaming up ways to create something, to change our thinking whether it be to make money or make a contribution to others. Eat Safe Live Well should cover all of those bases with ease and authenticity. Most will be gone by morning, a thought that become only that, though some will come to life and grow legs of their own. Some are only limited by the funds available to push the idea to market, which may be all that is holding Eat Safe Live Well back, because if a benefactor would appear, the lifestyle world would be a better place. Eat Safe initially had a Mothers Day event which sold out to 110 people in Hobart and this weeks Christmas in July booked out so quickly, not even I could get a ticket.. Pretty good for a brand in its infancy in a world where many wont commit unless it is exceptionally well known. What Jess found was that once the initial project came to life, she found that her creative juices started flowing and ideas keep appearing as she looks for progression. My stories do the same because from a handful of initial stories I find things and ideas to write about every day. Taking the initial step is what creates the momentum and energy, once moving things happen. Along the way Jess was the only finalist in 2 categories for The Premiers Young Achiever Awards. She won the Tasmanian Southern Cross St Lukes Young Achievers award in the category for Health and Well Being, as well as Runner up in the First National category . It started with an initial print of 10, 000 Eat Safe booklets, of which there are less than 500 left, with no funding or grants, whereas many of the finalists had been operated for years, and both highly funded or subsidized. Eat Safe was simply one amazing young womans passion. Following this it was decided to expand the brand to Eat Safe Live Well because eating well was only part of the message. Living well and having a great lifestyle enhanced it s benefits and encapsulated a wider target who could change their focus for the better. The more people who get on board the more opportunity it has of making a difference, and make a difference it should. It is all about eating healthy food and living a life that goes with that. The new Eat Safe Live Well website is full of motivation with daily blogs --Motivation Monday, Tasty Tuesday, Wellbeing Wednesday, Thought Thursday (Often one of mine), and Foodie Friday, all there to give you some momentum in your daily challenges. There have been stories about Eat Safe Live Well in the local newspaper, radio interviews, school speaking engagements as well as the SOLD OUT events. It is creating its own momentum, though could benefit from more buying into the theme so that the name becomes synonymous with its title, of eating safe and living well. For Jess, this has become more of a mission now, than an idea so jump on board and see how much better you feel for the effort. Have a great week Rodney Tattam 27th July 2014 eatsafelivewell.au/
