Bangon KABABAYAN! (Rise Up Countrymen!) TELETHON is a joint fundraising project of the Filipino Canadian Community, in coordination with the CANADIAN RED CROSS to help the victims of the recent typhoon that hit the Philippines with damages of devastating proportions. From November 12 to the final call on November 29, 2013, we hope to generate as much contributions from various individuals and companies who wish to donate to this worthy campaign, the total amount of which will be matched up by the Canadian Government. The entire amount solicited will then be turned over to the CANADIAN RED CROSS for proper disposition and distribution to the victims.
