One Year Ago Today (01/30/2013) our house suddenly became the target of advertisements via groups like the American Association of Retired People (AARP). Why did they suddenly feel our house was an easy mark? I suppose they incorrectly supposed that our 8 year old was interested in their wares. (Who got us on the mailing list anyhow, Uncle Sam? Was it you?) So were essentially upon the one year anniversary of when we began paying Medicare premiums Wa-hoo, what a ride! In all seriousness though, we are **SO** grateful for the opportunity to pay them, as it is substantially cheaper than having single coverage insurance in this scenario. As an aside, there have been various healthcare professionals in the last year who have stated in passing that Evie is in Stage 6 kidney failure... yet there are only 5 stages. Curiouser, and curiouser -- Ive never asked them to explain that one, as I assume it is a Freudian slip. Perhaps someone out there in the internet can enlighten me if I am wrong.
