One argument about rational relationships is that nothing in this - TopicsExpress

One argument about rational relationships is that nothing in this world is permanent so no one in this world is indispensable. I learnt this the hard way at the turn of the century. It means rationality asks you to practice detached attachment. However, one cant deny that everything has a momentary permanence till it exists. Like the joy of getting drenched in the rain till it stops raining. Or the sound of silence till there is sound. Does that make it rational for some one to be indispensable till they cease to live? A complicated duality of thought right?
