One can tell how a country’s rulers treat its people just by looking at the trains they build for them. In my opinion, the government leaders treat the MRT/LRT riding public as barely human. But that is what people get if they demand SUPER CHEAP fares. So most commuters would rather suffer all the indignities of taking an LRT/MRT rather than taking a bus or jeepney, which is more expensive. So, we now have jeeps plying the streets with hardly any passenger. Either the government double the number of trains and the frequency of travel OR double / triple the fare.
