One class that I took as a professional speaker has helped me in - TopicsExpress

One class that I took as a professional speaker has helped me in all my other business dealings and actually with my life in general. The class lesson was that pretty much, on average -- **NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOUR PRESENTATION IS** -- or how sincere you are or how funny you are or how fabulous you are -- about 20% of the crowd is going to LOVE it, about 20% of the crowd is going to HATE it and then the other 60% really couldnt care less either way. Your job is not to go back and try to get the haters to love it or not to get the I dont care to care -- its to present to another crowd and find the 20% who LOVE it and nurture that group. The 20% that love it are going to be your customers, your fans and your team members. It makes no sense wasting your time trying to fix the haters or I-dont-care crowd -- ignore them! Just find more people to present to and look for and nourish the 20% that love you! The same can be said about looking for downline members in your network marketing opportunity, friends on Facebook, looking for a spouse, etc., etc. Why try to convince someone to change who they are? Connect with more people and you will find your 20% that want to join your company. Youll find the 20% that will be genuine friends. Youll find the 20% that would make a good spouse. Instead of trying to change people, try interacting with more people. Release the haters to go hate somewhere else. I like what Dale Calvert said about building an MLM team: When building a MLM team it is just as important to get rid of the wrong people as it is to develop relationships with the right people. Look for your 20% and release the others.
