One comment on my previous thread was posted that read something along the lines of I work at a pharmacy and tell people not to read the side effects. I responded with It is important that people be told to read their prescription information. It would probably discourage the general public from medicating themselves for every little reason among other benefits. Please start suggesting the information be read by all. The comment has since been deleted. I for one find the with holding of pharmaceutical product information to be extremely dangerous. The violation of informed vaccine consent is exactly what got Beefy hurt in the first place. Medical professionals need to be held accountable when it comes to the relay of information. Omitting truths of risk so as to increase the likelihood of people using medications is unethical. It also seems to be common place in the medical industry. Our children can no longer depend on the people depending on us to not read the inserts. While medical information is often provided, it is not as often entirely disclosed to the recipient. These days, you have to get out there and get the information for yourself. Dont be afraid to question, research, and make your own medical decisions. An overlooked interaction, clear contraindication, or unacceptable risk could be the consequence of not doing so.
