One day I heard dogs fighting. I go outside and notice these two pitbull dogs engaged in a life and death struggle. I called to my homeboy for his assistance to break up the fight. (These were not our dogs, but we knew pitbull dogs.) By the collars, he grabbed one and I the other. As we were pulling them apart, they were both growling and whining from pain. But were the cause of their pain, because of their refusal to let go of the other. Some people are like these dogs. They complain because of the pain their relationships bring them, but is in too much of an embraced to let go. Yet, this embrace must not be an excuse to hold on.
