One day, after Moses had grown up, he went out to where his own - TopicsExpress

One day, after Moses had grown up, he went out to where his own people were and watched them at their hard labor. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own people. Looking this way and that and seeing no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. – Exodus 2:11-12 (NIV) Moses was born to be an activist, but his passion caused him to murder an Egyptian, and suddenly Moses was a fugitive running into the desert. Yet God uses our failures in a magnificent way, for it would be forty years later when God spoke to Moses in the desert from a burning bush. By that time Moses had been humbled, and Moses did more in a short time under the hand of God than he ever could with his fleshly strength. God guided Moses to become the activist he was always meant to be.
