One day an old man from the tribe of Banu suleem became muslim. Prophet (PBUH) taught him some basic of islam and than asked him if he had any wealth or property. He replied: I swear by God I am the most poor and weak person of the three thousand men of the tribe. Prophet (PBUH) turned towards sahaba and asked them : who will help this needy person. Hazrat Saad bin Ubada stood up and said : O Prophet Of Allah I have a camel which I give him. Than Prophet (PBUH) asked: who will provide to cover for his head. Hazrat Ali (R.A) stood up took off his turban let the old man wore it. Than Prophet (PBUH) asked “ who will arrange for his food”. Hazrat salman Farsi R.A took him to arrange for his meal. Visited few house but found no food there. Than he arrived at the door of Fatima (R.A). Knocked at her door and narrated the whole story to her and requested her to arrange for his meal. Hazrat Fatima (R.A) with soaked eyes replied: O Salman I swear by Almighty Allah it is third day we have no food at home and the two boys have gone to sleep with empty stomach. But I won’t deny the needy. Take my scarf and give it to Shamoon (Jew) tell him this belong to Fatima daughter of Muhammad (PBUH) ask him to trade in for some food for this poor man. Salman farsi R. A took the scarf to Shamoon and told him the whole story , upon this shamoon replied : O salman I swear by God they are the same people about whom the Torah informed us. Be my witness , I declare my faith in the prophethood of the father of Fatima daughter of Muhammad (PBUH). And than gave him some food for the old man and returned scarf of Fatima r.a Hazrat Fatima r.a cooked the food and gave it to Salman Farsi. He asked Fatima r.a to keep some food for the children. She replied that she could not take back what she had already donated in the name of Allah. Hazrat Salman farsi r.a came back to prophet (PBUH) with the food. He fed the food to the old man. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) than visited Fatima r.a in her house, and prayed for her.
