One day last month, Hong Kong people woke up to the news that a giant wall was to be built to fence off The Peoples Square, a public space outside the Government Headquarter which had witnessed a great many peaceful protests in recent years. There were no consultation, no dialogue. Today, this Hong Kong Wall stands as a shameful symbol of how oppressive the government has become. Last night, a group of people, led by Pastor Bob Kraft and Edward Chin, gathered outside of the wall to peacefully express their anger and concern over the diminishing freedom that this city used to enjoy.
