One day there were a group of frogs that fell into a deep sink hole. They tried to jump out of the hole but could not do so because the hole was too deep. There were other frogs at the top witnessing what was happening. These other frogs were discussing with each other about the outcome of the poor frogs trapped in the hole. The frogs at the top started to shake their heads to indicate that there was no way for those down the hole to escape. They commented and shouted to the poor frogs caught in the hole, “There is no way to get out of the hole. You all should just relax and wait for your turn to die.” All the frogs in the hole stopped jumping and trying, except for one little frog that kept on jumping and trying. True enough all the frogs that stopped trying died, but the little frog that kept on trying managed to jump out of the hole, and saved himself. In fact, the little frog did not stop trying because he was deaf, and he actually thought that those frogs at the top were encouraging him to keep on trying. SUCCESS PRINCIPLESTo be successful we have to move on towards our dreams and goal. There may be a lot of people who will discourage, ridicule and laugh at us along the way. People are forever willing to provide you with their opinions. Sometimes, discouragement comes from people close to us, with good intentions. To be successful we have to be “deaf” to what these negative people are saying and move on towards what we are doing and where we are heading.
