One day when I was in sixth grade, we were on the way back from a field trip back to school. Our driver Mr. Hines asked if anyone had any music they wanted to play. One of the kids in the back, Phoenix, said he had a CD, so we put it in. Little did I know that the CD he put in would impact my life forever. It was Lecraes Jesus Muszik. Now I had been exposed to Christian rap before, such as the Cross Movement, who I still hold dear to my heart. But this time it was a little different. l was know starting to understand the lyrics I was hearing in all of these songs and it started making sense to me. Since that day in that van, Ive been a 116 fan. Seeing Lecrae and Christian rap grow as a whole from 2005 to now has been amazing. This music is what got me through both the good time and the bad, and Im just so thankful for it. Just this week, Lecraes Anomaly reached #1 the billboard and itunes charts. Ive grown up listening to this guy, and to see him and his ministry going from very small to worldwide is a blessing and is an inspiration. It just goes to show that this is the type of music that the people really want and not all that fakeness thats out there. I know that its kind of cliche to write a long post about this, but this is a great milestone and a great work of God that has happened. Cant wait to see him and Andy Mineo perform in October. To God be the Glory! #Anomaly #116 #reachrecords #sameteam #lecrae #glorytoGod youtube/watch?v=uMC8Ftt38J8
