One female medical student of Khulna Medical College attempted to commit suicide a couple of days back while a male student of Chittagong Medical College committed suicide today. Such events are unacceptable. But why such things are happening? Respected parents and dear young boys and girls! Think twice before you wish to be a doctor in Bangladesh. Medical profession in Bangladesh is extremely tough. As soon as you enter in this medical zone you have to hug hell. This profession will test your patience and courage extremely. Frustrations and repeated failures are a part of medical profession. Your student life will never end here. Even after completing postgradution your responsibility of acquiring more knowledge increases automatically. Even after coming from your daily duties or chamber youve to study at home.....this is natural. Your time for amusements like your non-medical friends will be lesser and your establishment will be late, though for the high profile students its different and theyre exceptions. So, if youre ready to accept the toughest of lives , if youre ready to challenge the depressive situations only then choose to be a doctor. Otherwise dont come here. Dont be emotional and jump on this profession and invite ugly incidents to make your family suffer. And above all, the parents must be sensible enough here. It will be better to give your childrens passion more importance. Certainly you dont wish to lose your children for the sake of your bloody illogical wish.
