One for the Ages. Two Elderly Sisters, quite vividly, recall John Dillingers bank robbery in East Chicago, Indiana. The robbery is where Detective OMalley, unfortunately, lost his life. A murder later pinned on John with very loose witnesses & evidence to this one, the only, murder he was ever accused of. Its the case that would bring him back to Crown Point to be tried. The very site where, what would become, the greatest jailbreak of the times would occur. As you hear, the women, then merely children, recall one of the other two men shooting OMalley with a machine gun ( probably Homer, maybe Red). The womens recollections point all the more to Dillinger having no interest in hurting anyone. He simply wanted the banks money. Amazingly, the womens father had also played cards with Johnny on several occasions! Take a watch. Great piece. Yall have a wonderful day now!
