One for the diary for all juvenile mentors or prospective mentors: Friday 24th October, from 7.30 to 9.10. Registration is 10 mins prior to event. ----------------------- Ballymun Kickhams GAA coaching education workshops provide coaches with a comprehensive guide to the what, why and how all aspects of GAA specific fitness, which is appropriate for young and developing players. We aim to give attending coaches more knowledge of GAA specific related training methods through structured; • Warm Up/Cool Down’s • Flexibility and stretching-FMS • Injury prevention • Conditioned Games • Speed/Agility & Balance • Core strength and stability • Long term athlete development Outcomes: Ballymun Kickhams Coaches/Mentors will: 1. Have a better and clear understanding of structured warm-up/cool-downs which will include Dynamic game movements and Functional movement exercises 2. Have a clear understanding as to why conditioned games will improve Team Play, Tactical prowess & Decision making 3. Be able to implement these training methods into their Football training plan 4. Help Ballymun Kickhams young athletes/players to reach their full athletic potential Content Time Tutor/Coach Warm-Up/Cool Down 7.30pm-8.15pm Shane Treanor Drills v Games 8.15pm-9pm Shane Treanor Q & A 9pm-9.10pm Refreshment will be served in the Autobahn afterwards.
