One gelded Yoshi foal! That was a long and quite knackering surgery! :o There were two (smallish) balls there, but after easily removing the first one, the second (even smaller) one disappeared in an attempt to evade being chopped off! Lost count of the extra sedation that we had to keep administering to stop Yoshi coming round before we were done! Also got his hooves trimmed whilst he was anaesthetised. Once he came round, he was a little hypothermic due to the ketamine, but he let me put a rug on him, and he was back in the field 2 hours later with his mum, none the worse for his operation (even if he is minus his balls!) I, however, feel like Ive done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson! Great vet-team yesterday, ably assisted by 11 year old Dalma who became photographer at important moments. Not sure I dare post the photos though, as they are quite graphic! Hope poor Pali and Tibor the vets are OK today, after the epic battle! Yoshi is amazingly trusting, as he still loves me today. :D
