One great memory that I will share: Grandma always babysat for us while mom worked during the summer and we hated taking naps. It was a hot summer day and we just couldnt cool off. The clock in the bedroom was driving us crazy. So one day Joan and I decided to do something to get cool. So while Grandma was sound asleep - We decided to sneak down the stairs in the basement and make our selves a self made slip and slide. We got the laundry hose and sprayed the entire basement floor - then added grandmas Laundry soap - Tide should do it - sprinkled it all over the floor. We took off our clothes and then at the doorway we sat down and away we went the floor guided us and swirled us around and around and eventually it led us to the drain. We giggled we slid we could hardly get back to the door it was so soapy bubbles every where. It was the best!!!
