One great thing about not having to pay to be government and corporate brainwashed by watching their bullshit television programming is that silence seems to make life more beautiful and you crave more of it. Yesterday I took the time of only a few moments out of my life to watch an ant carry an insect twice his or her size and travel twelve feet across our front deck. It was the determination of how it took on this task, that to most would have been insurmountable or at least seemed so, that kept me mesmerized. The weight of his or her task made this little guy or gal travel sideways with the burden and as he or she slipped between the spaces this little determined ant would desperately claw its way back not letting a little slip stop his or her success. It came upon a 12" vertical drop and it moved in a circle until it was positioned just right and slung the weight over still holding on to what looked like a silver fish and this determined ant went down the sheer vertical side not losing a moment but traversing downward, slower still, yet determined. It remained by itself in total isolation along his or her path until it came to a rotten board around our gazebo and got caught up in a procession of hundreds maybe thousands working their way towards the survival of their species. I thought as my Grandson and his fiancée was over to visit that day, and then again after I saw my two granddaughters and two daughters today, Let Me Be Like That Ant!
